I have been so lucky to have such awesome support from lactation consultants, nurses, and childbirth class teachers since before I even became a mother. When I searched for ideas for a Lactation Consultant Gift I couldn’t find anything!
Some friends suggested a cow figurine, milk chocolate, a milk jug vase with flowers but none of those ideas hit the spot. This is what we came up with (along with some wild sunflowers) for the amazing facilitator of our breastfeeding support group.
I found this funny but educational book called Breasts by Genichiro Yagyu. I decided not to inscribe the cover just incase she already had the book, that way she could regift it or pass it along to a family who would enjoy it.
handprint cow card and “Breasts”
I wanted to give her something with a cow or milk on it to represent milk. For the Thank You card I traced Baby Babe’s hand and turned it into a cow. I just lightly sketched it out in pencil and then colored it in with crayons. Inside the card I glued a photo of Baby Babe and a personal message.
