Blend up these healthy frozen veggie cubes to store in the freezer!
Chocolate Avocado Cubes are a fun treat and a sure way to get any picky eater to eat some healthy fats. Simply blend 1.5 cups of milk, 1 avocado and 1 box of instant chocolate pudding. Freeze overnight then store cubes in a freezer bag. Slice off small pieces for toddlers or mash it up in a mesh feeder for little ones.
Smoothie Cubes can be made up of whatever you have on hand. Melt coconut oil before blending for even consistency. Fresh spinach and avocado add great nutrition and a serving of vegetables. Chia or flax seeds provide omega 3s and cottage cheese or yogurt add a boost of protein to keep your little one fueled up! Use whatever fruit you have on hand and whatever creamy drink you like- dairy, almond, coconut or soy milk. Freeze cubes for several hours until frozen solid then store in a freezer bag.
We buy a bag of fresh spinach every week. Don’t let unused spinach go to waste! Just drizzle a splash of hot water over fresh spinach leaves to slightly wilt then blend until finely minced. Freeze in cubes to add to pastas, soups or smoothies. Store frozen solid cubes in a freezer bag.
Finally a great fresh ginger to keep on hand! I love these tiny cubes for adding to recipes. Now I don’t have to peel fresh ginger or use boring ground ginger. I’ve been searching for something like this for years!
